2 Simple Substances Improve Memory

The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition published a recent study which found that supplementation with folic acid and Vitamin B12 improved immediate and delayed memory in older men and women.

There were some 900 participants who received 400mcg of folic acid and 100mcg of B12 OR a placebo for 2 full years. Cognitive function was assessed at the beginning, at 12 months and at the end of the 2 years.

The group taking the 2 supplements showed greater improvements in memory recall, both short and long term.

Doc Wellness Note:  I found the results impressive . . . . considering the dosages were very low. I would like to see ideal doses with both of these substances, along with a B-complex. When blood levels are elevated, not only memory improves, but energy levels, immunity and virtually all aspects of ideal health will follow.

  1. This is really interesting, solely for the fact after I started taking a good multivitamin and have never taken them before my memory improved along with my chronic headaches disappeared.

    Thanks for the article!
