A new study done by scientists from the U. of Cincinnati Health Center showed that drinking wild blueberry juice every day improved the memory of (aging) adults with memory challenges.
Blueberries, aside from being tasty, contain polyphenol compounds with the most prominent one being anthocyanins. Anthocyanins have strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects and are associated with increased energy in the brain centers. This in turn helps considerably with memory and improve glucose use in the brain itself. These benefits also slow down any type of degenerative processes in the brain.
Tasty and healthy! That’s the combination for you.
